- What I need to do
- What is the current law

She speaks English fluently and has a degree in English, she also studied in UK for one year.

Im aware that the government policy will change soon.

Russian girlfriend

Hello Sir,

I am an American man married to a Chinese woman for 2 years now.

It depends on the country, you would have to ask your friend, but in order for her to get a visa to leave the country for the purpose of marraige, you would have to apply for a visa for her.

In my case, I had to actually go to the country and visit her, which I did. Take pictures of the meeting, save any and all receipts of meals, hotels, recreation, everything. This will prove you were there. Plane ticket receipts.

Then you get back home and file for a fience visa with your government agency that handles such matters. You will need much documentation including birth certificates, proof of employment and 3 years tax returns, any proof of correspondence, such as phone records, letters, emails. The proof of your meeting, and other things which I'm probably forgetting.

So as far as expenses, there is:

1) trip to her country
2) fience visa application
3) flying her back

The process took 10 months from the time I filed until she got approved.

It's a long process, but if you think you have the woman who will be with you forever, the wait is worth it.

Hope that helps.
