How to start and how to come out

I'm a college student. For the past few years I have found myself wanting women and it seems impossible to tell my mom or tell the women I find attractive. I know I like women, because i can't shake the urges or fantacies. How do I come out and how do I start talking to women.

I was gonna say when I first knew I was gay..but the funny thing is that I always knew that I was gay....There is no easy way to come out...but there is some things that you can do that will make it easier....You should try to find a group, a bar, clubs, any place were there are gay people that gather and just start to socialize...I started to go into chatrooms, the castro and to different gay organization ie. LBGT and just starting getting support because when you really come out your gonna need to talk to people that have been through it so you don't feel like your the only one that has felt that.

I know what you mean, I'm exactly the same. I knew I was bi but could do nothing really about it because I had no-one to go on the scene with. If that makes sense...
What I did was join an lbgt group and now have three or four close friends I can go out with and be myself.

I came out as bi to my closest friends and work mates a couple of weeks ago and it was one of the best things I've ever done. I felt such a weight lift from my shoulders, and the people I was really worried about just hugged me and now make jokes about it rather than ignoroing it altogether.

You know your situation best, and it may not always be the right choice for everyone, but I think you might be suprised at the support and friendship you'll get from our loved ones. Some of my friends even said they had never quite figured me out, and now this makes a lot more sense.

I wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide to do, and always remember that we are here for support whenever you need it.
