Colombia for retirement?

Colombia has always attracted me. That part of the world attracts me. I was wondering if anyone could provide info about Colombia in terms of retirement for American citizens?

I have monthly retirement income/s, so that is set for me. My annual income is right around 77k. I am divorced and kids are grown. I love latin women, especially Colombian women, and the culture. But can I find a decent home with my income. Will I be safe there as a retired American male?

Basically, tell me what I don't know, if you already know yourself. I could use a good lesson in information on the subject of Colombia.
